After discussing the dissertation topic, the consumer perception of spa tourism in thailand, with my supervisor, she suggested me to narrow down my topic to focus only on specific nationalities or market groups as other factors can impact perceptions of customer satisfaction such as the difference of cultures. Therefore I am going to focus on customers from the UK as they account for a big number of tourists in Thailand.
Thereafter I am going to continue my research process with generating ideas on research methods which probably can be both quantitative and qualitative methods at the same time.
Yep you need to scope to small focus like me, we need to thank you supervisor that suggest a good thing for us. Now you know how to do and cope with just focus on UK customer it will be easier and you can go for the group of people who like this activity.....

ReplyDeleteYes, the variables in your research will be more controllable if you focus on tourists arriving to Thailand from only one country.
Good luck with finding the right research methods for this as I don't think it will be easy!

A large simple target you might approach into various data as you wish but your supervisor was suggested interesting point to you to specific simple target group because you might not complete your dissertation on time if you have a large of simple target to research that why specific target would be a important factors on your research.
ReplyDeleteyour target group is quite clearer than before but I don't think if you reseach both of qualitative and quatitative is useful. The time is very significant thing, you should merely focus on one thing and I reccomence you doing in quatitative approach by in-dept interview. Good luck anyway ;)))
